Kenneth S. Springer
Founder and Senior Advisor
Kenneth S. Springer founded CRI in 1991. He is a former Special Agent with the FBI, a Certified Fraud Examiner, and a widely recognized expert in due diligence investigations, business intelligence and corporate risk management.
Ken led CRI for over 25 years as its Chief Executive, growing the company from two employees to a team of 30 who help hundreds of clients make informed investment and hiring decisions. Today, he works closely with CRI’s leadership team, providing guidance and maintaining many of our long-standing relationships with valued clients and trusted partners. Ken still enjoys the opportunity to roll his sleeves up and advise clients on delicate situations that can benefit from his expertise.
With over four decades of professional experience, Ken is a frequent speaker at industry events focusing on educating investors and business leaders on due diligence and risk management best practices aimed at protecting your capital and reputation. He has been quoted in leading publications and appeared on major TV networks to discuss fraud, due diligence and risk management. He is the co-author, along with Joelle Scott, of “Digging for Disclosure: Tactics for Protecting Your Firm’s Assets from Swindlers, Scammers and Imposters.”
Prior to CRI, Ken was President of Bishops Services, an investigative firm now part of Sterling Talent Solutions. Ken is an active member of several industry and professional associations including: Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), Association for Corporate Growth (ACG), Council of International Investigators (CII), National Law Enforcement Associates, SIFMA Legal & Compliance, Society of Former Agents of the FBI and Vistage. Ken received his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Siena College.
Ken is often repeating his own quips (“in our business we call that a clue”), hoping someone will capture them all in a book (sorry, Yogi Berra). Ken also enjoys playing golf and spending time with his seven grandchildren.

Kenneth H. Springer
Chief Executive Officer
Kenneth H. Springer drives the growth of CRI through continuous enhancement of our investigative services and overall client experience. Given the evolving landscape of the information industry, Ken is focused on investments in technology and growing our team of experts to extend our reach and deliver results that help clients make informed investment and hiring decisions.
Ken started his career as an investigative analyst at CRI before he joined Goldman Sachs where he spent nine years. At Goldman, he held several operations leadership roles, most recently serving as Americas head of securities middle office and transaction settlements. He returned to CRI in 2015, coupling his financial services experience with his prior investigative work to lead the company in understanding, responding, and anticipating the needs of our clients.
Ken is a Certified Fraud Examiner and a Certified Member of the Council of International Investigators (CII). He is an active member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG), Vistage and the National Law Enforcement Associates.
Ken earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Labor and Employment Relations from Rutgers University where he was Co-Captain of the Division I men’s lacrosse team.
When Ken isn’t attempting to organize office bowling events, he and his wife are thoroughly entertained by their three young children.

Joelle Scott
Chief Operating Officer
Joelle Scott oversees all aspects of research operations and client management at CRI. She is responsible for managing several functions covering client and project on-boarding, investigative research and reporting, editing, and relationship management.
She has over 20 years of experience in business investigations and is the co-author, along with Kenneth S. Springer, of “Digging for Disclosure: Tactics for Protecting Your Firm’s Assets from Swindlers, Scammers and Imposters.” For more than a decade, Joelle assisted Richard Wald at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism. She is a member of the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG), the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), the National Law Enforcement Associates and 100 Women in Hedge Funds.
Joelle received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and History from Colgate University and her Master of Science degree from Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
Joelle chairs the company’s drama club (she is currently the only member), and she enjoys playing poker and going to the beach with her son.

Wes Rigler
Director - Investigations
Wes joined CRI in 2012 after 28 years as an FBI agent. There, he conducted investigations into organized crime and labor racketeering that resulted in the successful prosecution of corrupt labor leaders and prominent members of organized crime families.
Wes was honored by the Federal Law Enforcement Foundation for his outstanding work leading to the arrests and convictions of numerous corrupt union officials and contractors throughout New York and New Jersey while he was with the FBI. In 2007, he was nominated for the FBI Director’s Award for his role in the investigation of corrupt union officials of Local 825 of the International Union of Operating Engineers. Before joining the FBI, he was an officer with the Ridgewood Police Department in New Jersey and served in the United States Army. Wes holds a Bachelor of Science degree from William Paterson University and also attended Pace University School of Law.
Wes entertains the team with FBI stories and often babysits his six (and counting…) grandchildren when not on the golf course.

Shelley Marinaro
Director - Report Production
Shelley has overseen the coordination of research and written reports at CRI for more than 20 years, and she has assisted in the development of new products and marketing initiatives. Prior to CRI, Shelley worked for the FBI for four years, where she was assigned to one of its first interagency drug task forces that included the DEA, the Connecticut State Police and the Hartford Police Department.
Shelley attended Stone School of Business.
Shelley loves spending time with her new grandson and is an avid reader of crime novels.

Richard MacDonnell
Senior Vice President
Since joining CRI in 2002, Rich has executed thousands of due diligence background investigations and numerous complex corporate investigations involving fraud and misconduct. Rich is the relationship manager for several of CRI’s top clients, and he is involved in all aspects of business development.
Rich holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Rutgers University where he majored in Environmental and Business Economics.
Rich enjoys discussing the latest Real Housewives gossip and continues his pursuit of youth playing in various soccer leagues around North Jersey proving to his kids that he still has it.

Dylan Anderson
Vice President
In addition to working on due diligence investigative assignments, Dylan oversees the training of new analysts and is the editor in chief of our company-wide “Daily Fraud Digest,” which keeps us current on news that is relevant to our industry and our clients. Prior to joining CRI, Dylan spent six years working in political opposition research, directing research efforts for several mayoral, gubernatorial and national campaigns. Most recently, he led the research team for New York Governor Andrew Cuomo’s 2014 reelection.
Dylan earned a Bachelor of Arts degree, summa cum laude, from New York University and was a Martin Luther King Jr. Scholar.
An avid gym goer, Dylan’s favorite holiday is Halloween and spends plenty of time planning to frighten and humor his friends.

Daniel Vassallo
Vice President
Dan joined CRI in 2005. He is responsible for overseeing international due diligence projects and maintaining relationships with our vetted network of investigators and specialists across the globe. Dan also conducts fund manager background investigations for CRI’s investment management clients.
Dan earned a Bachelor of Arts degree, in English, from Rutgers University.
Dan will scour the city to find the best ramen spot but only has to cross the street to watch the Rangers play.

Lauren Vitagliano
Vice President
Lauren has been at Corporate Resolutions since 2006. She is a specialist in public record and database research and, in addition to her critical role in executing due diligence background investigations, she helps lead CRI’s data source evaluation and analyst training efforts. Prior to joining CRI, Lauren worked for Sterling Talent Solutions in the criminal research department.
Lauren holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Fairfield University.
Lauren’s role as Office Mom helped prepare her for her role as real mom to 3-year-old AJ…the office needs more attention.

Joseph Cullen
Legal Editor and General Counsel
Joe joined CRI in 2018 as Legal Editor and General Counsel. He oversees the editing of our investigative reports with a focus on accuracy, completeness and compliance with industry regulations and applicable laws. Joe holds an FCRA Advanced Certificate from the National Association of Professional Background Screeners (NAPBS).
Prior to CRI, Joe was a trial attorney for over 10 years in New York City specializing in insurance defense litigation. He graduated from James Madison University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature, cum laude, and received a Juris Doctor degree from The George Mason University School of Law. While in law school, Joe was a member of Phi Delta Phi, an international legal ethics society. As an undergraduate, he was a member of Phi Sigma Tau, a national philosophy honors society.
As a native of Maryland, Joe roots for D.C. area sports teams regardless of how many times the Wizards lose in the first round.

Zoe Blicksilver
Manager - Business Development
Since joining CRI in 2014, Zoe has completed hundreds of background investigations for both fund of funds and private equity clients. Leveraging her experience of analyzing information and assisting clients in making critical decisions, Zoe also coordinates new client engagements at CRI and leads projects focused on client communication and business development.
Zoe earned a Bachelor of Arts degree, with honors, from Colgate University, majoring in International Relations.
In addition to her passions for hot yoga and making the most of her monthly MetroCard on the NYC subway, Zoe also spends her free time trying to decide on the best New York slice.

Jaime Altkin
Senior Investigative Analyst
Jaime conducts background investigations in connection with private investments and major hiring decisions. Prior to joining CRI, she worked as an Investigative Analyst for XG Consultants Group.
Jaime holds a Bachelor of Science degree from SUNY Oneonta where she majored in Mass Communications.
Jaime likes dumplings and hanging out with her cat, Oliver.

Jeremy Gonzales-Gottlieb, CFE
Senior Investigative Analyst
Jeremy conducts due diligence investigations and focuses on tech companies for our venture capital clients. He spearheads our Community Outreach Program and is constantly assessing new opportunities for CRI and its employees to help make a difference. Jeremy previously worked for Beau Dietl & Associates, Bishops Services, Rothman Consulting and Security Uniforms Inc. Jeremy also oversaw a pilot program in Manila, Philippines, with a leading investigations practice.
Jeremy holds a Bachelor of Arts degree, magna cum laude, from Brandeis University, where he majored in Politics and East Asian Studies. He is a Certified Fraud Examiner and active member of the ACFE.
Jeremy enjoys playing as an outside hitter on his volleyball team and is currently learning how to play Spanish guitar.

Michelle Mantua
Senior Investigative Analyst
Michelle is a seasoned researcher and editor with several years of experience in investigative research, crisis management, and public relations. Before joining CRI in 2019, she was employed with BDO’s Forensic Investigation and Litigation Services group, where she most recently served as Head of the Investigative Due Diligence Editorial Team. Prior to BDO, Michelle was a Senior Researcher at Marathon Strategies, and an Investigator at Backtrack Reports.
Michelle has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan and a Master of Fine Arts from Cranbrook Academy of Art. Her favorite things include celebrity gossip, neo noir, and her dog.

Peter Marinaro
Senior Investigative Analyst
Peter has been with CRI since 2010. He is focused on helping our investment clients assess the backgrounds of management teams and other key people involved in primarily private transactions. Peter is a true CRI culture carrier and is a valuable resource to our team and our clients.
Peter earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from College of Saint Rose.
When Peter isn’t debating the best fast food options in a four-block radius, he can give insight on “Call of Duty” and Star Wars movies.

Adrienne Pinto
Senior Investigative Analyst
Adrienne manages investigative due diligence assignments for our private equity clients and works closely with our legal partners on CRI’s compliance and information security program. She previously worked as a hospital care investigator.
Adrienne received a Master of Business Administration from Baruch College Zicklin School of Business and a Bachelor of Science degree, with honors and distinction, from University of Delaware, where she majored in Psychology and Cognitive Science.
Adrienne likes to tap dance to Hall & Oates when she isn’t busy cleaning out the office fridge.

Adam Rizzo
Senior Investigative Analyst
Adam joined CRI in 2018. Prior to CRI, Adam worked for CACI International in Washington, DC where he conducted background investigations to help determine US government security clearance suitability.
Adam holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from the Catholic University of America with a focus in the areas of crime, justice, and law.
Adam spends his free time doing outdoor activities, attending sporting events, grilling, and reminding everyone that the Philadelphia Eagles won the 2018 Super Bowl.

Addy Turnbull
Senior Investigative Analyst
Addy conducts thorough due diligence background investigations and oversees quality control of CRI’s work product through her role as editor of investigative reports. In an earlier life, she was a poker dealer in California.
Addy attended Columbus State University where she majored in Psychology.
If you are ever in need, Addy seems to have an endless supply of funny cat memes.

Peter A. Marinaro
Senior Investigator
Peter joined CRI in 2013 after a long career as a Special Agent with the FBI. Peter had an accounting specialty and later joined a special operations team of FBI agents and NYPD detectives assigned to the Joint Terrorism Task Force. Prior to the FBI, he was a SWAT team member in New Haven, CT and New Rochelle, NY.
Peter holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Lafayette College.
Pete enjoys outdoor activities including biking, both road and mountain, as well as fishing from his canoe.

Andriana Ilnicki
Investigative Analyst
Andriana joined CRI in 2019. She previously worked for CACI International where she conducted background investigations to help determine US government security clearance suitability. Andriana holds a Master of Science degree in Criminal Justice from the University of New Haven and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Fairfield University.
Andriana is obsessed with all things Law and Order SVU and strives to be like Olivia Benson everyday. When she’s not trying to be a fictional character, Andriana enjoys playing basketball and volleyball and hanging out with friends.

Alexis Medina
Investigative Analyst
Alexis joined CRI in 2018. Prior to CRI, she worked for the New York City Department of Education as a procurement analyst specializing in background research on vendors and their principals. Alexis also brings relevant experience from her previous role as a litigation clerk at Stroock Stroock & Lavan LLP.
Alexis has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from City University of New York-Lehman College and a Master of Arts in Criminology from St. John’s University.
When not in the office, Alexis enjoys walking to her local café to have an iced beverage or caramel macchiato and read a good book.

KerryAnn Rodriguez
Investigative Analyst
KerryAnn joined CRI in 2018. Prior to CRI, KerryAnn worked for the Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office as an Investigative Analyst and the NYS Attorney General’s Office as a Legal Support Analyst.
KerryAnn holds a Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, from Iona College, where she majored in Criminal Justice with a minor in Psychology.
KerryAnn enjoys doing arts and crafts, binge watching crime series, and recently discovered she is oddly good at axe throwing.

Emma Sinclair
Investigative Analyst
Before joining CRI, Emma was a contractor with the Department of Justice for 7 years. She conducted background investigations and extensive financial analysis on both people and organizations.
Emma holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from SUNY Geneseo in Psychology and English and a Master of Science degree from the University of Pennsylvania in Criminology.
When not hard at work, Emma enjoys spending time at the beach. She loves to cook lots of new and excitingly delicious things and after eating them all, go to the gym.

Theresa Connolly
Report Production Specialist
Theresa has been with CRI since 2005. Prior to CRI, Theresa worked as a medical claims manager at Hudson Valley Dermatology, as office manager at Young Chiropractic, and held other legal and administrative assistant positions.
Theresa attended Iona College.
Theresa likes to run and loves cooking and laughing with her family.

Laura Basilico
Report Production Analyst
Laura joined CRI in 2014. Prior to CRI, Laura was a financial coordinator and analyst with a medical company and worked for Sony Electronics, in charge of reconciling major trade shows for the company.
Laura loves to cook and invites her entire family over to enjoy her meals.

Lucy Trzpis
Accounting Manager
Lucy manages our accounting functions, maintains relationships with vendors and otherwise keeps CRI running. She previously worked in a similar capacity at Exis Capital Management.
Lucy earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Brooklyn College.
Lucy is committed to meditation…unless of course there is an outdoor concert to attend.

Eimile Logan
Administrative Coordinator
Eimile is CRI’s Administrative Coordinator, a role she took on in 2018 after spending two years as an Investigative Analyst. Eimile is a critical resource internally and she deals with clients on a daily basis to help facilitate the on-boarding of new projects. Before CRI, Eimile spent several years working in the fashion and lifestyle sectors.
Eimile earned a Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, from New York University where she was the recipient of the Founder’s Day Award and majored in Environmental Studies.
Eimile is obsessed with all things natural skincare and cosmetics and loves helping people clean their beauty routine. On her time off, if she’s not at Sephora, she’s likely crafting a cheese plate somewhere.
